Compound Overview
Rat sarcoma (RAS) proteins are membrane-bound guanosine triphosphatases that can cause cancers by activating the mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) and phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase (PI3K) signaling pathways.1
RAS-PI3K⍺ inhibitor (BAY 3674171)*† is a small molecule for the treatment of RAS-driven tumors.2 It inhibits phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase alpha (PI3Kα) oncogenic signaling by blocking the interaction between RAS and PI3Kα.2 It is currently being evaluated in a phase I clinical trial of patients with advanced solid tumors.3
*Previously known as VVD-159642.
